Following the launch of the first 360 Hz display in the world, Asus announces the world’s first 14-inch gaming laptop. The laptop is being unveiled at CES 2020, named Asus ROG Zephyrus G14.
Ironically, Asus has told Intel about AMD in terms of machine guts. It is also the finest and lightest gaming notebook to date. With ROG Zephyrus G14, Asus tries to offer an unparalleled efficiency mix in this category.
Among Asus’ latest AMD Ryzen powered laptops, the ROG Zephyrus G14 is unveiled at CES 2020. It includes two versions for ROG Zephyrus and two for the TUF gaming brand. The ROG Zephyrus G14 is the most popular set.
The reputation is that this is the best 14-inch computer laptop in the world. Asus says that AMD and NVIDIA are put together. For being a portable gaming laptop, it only weighs 1.6 kg and is only 17.9 mm thick.
The 14-inch display is available for either 60Hz or 120Hz Full HD panel or 60Hz WQHD panel. Adaptive-Sync technology is also supported. The laptop is available with AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS and 6 GB GDDR5 memory with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060. Up to 32 GB DDR4 RAM and up to 1 TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD Storage are accessible.
The laptop supports Intel Wifi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.0. Asus also provides optional specific LEDs on the deck where users can view customized graphics, animations, or other effects.
There is backlit N-key support and 1.7 mm key travel chiclet-style keyboard. The power key is a fingerprint sensor incorporated and runs on Windows 10 Pro or Windows 10 Home. For ports, you can potentially get one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C and Power Delivery support from DisplayPort 1.4.
There is also one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C, two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A, an HDMI 2.0b, and a combo jack with a 3.5 mm headphone and microphone. It is available in gray eclipse or white moonlight colors from the first quarter of 2020 — no word yet on pricing.
Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 is followed by the more powerful Gaming Laptop, ROG Zephyrus G15. It features a large 15-inch display with a 240 Hz refresh rate and AMD Freesync support.
While the display is 1080p, you can also obtain a version with a refresh rate of 144Hz. It is powered by a8-core AMD Ryzen 7 4800 HS and is compatible with 6 GB video memory for a GTX 1660 Ti or RTX 2060. The remaining specifications are the same as the ROG Zephyrus G14.
Asus is also introducing TUF game laptops with AMD Ryzen 4000 or 10th Intel gene processors at CES 2020. The 15.6-inch A15 and the 17.3-inch A17 are equipped with the AMD Ryzen platform.
The versions F15 and F17 come with Intel Core 10th gene processors. Information about the CPU models are not yet available, but can also be optimized using GeForce RTX 2060. They support gaming at a refreshing rate of 144Hz and also offer larger batteries.
Asus is expected to reveal further information in respective markets close to its launch.
